Dom made us comfortable from the first time we made a telephone enquiry. We hade been let down badly by the quality from a furniture supplier recently and were intent on not making the same mistake twice. We went to their showroom in Belfield and they were most helpful in helping us choose the design, the colour and the timber. We had recently had a new sunroom built on the side of our house and because of its size we needed to fit it out with three buffets to balance the long room. We ordered three buffets and waited merely two weeks for them to be built and delivered to our home and the colour was just perfect, the size and design was just to our requirements and everyone that sees them now is very impressed with what we received. We have no hesitation in recommending this family company to anyone looking for well built quality furniture Australian made using Australian timbers. It was an absolute delight to have done business with this lovely friendly family and should we need more furniture at anytime in the future we won't look around we shall go straight to Habitat. Dana from Habitat really provides outstanding customer service. She went above and beyond matching my new tv cabinet to my existing furniture. I can't speak highly enough of the service I have received from Habitat Furniture Warehouse over the past few months. My 23 year old daughter needed a new tallboy for her bedroom and she wanted it to look like the old one, but with improvements. Don was happy for her to design what she wanted, with 10 drawers on 5 levels, with the bottom three levels being deeper "blanket drawers". He was able to match the colour of her previous furniture and the quality of the craftsmanship and the materials is fantastic. Just today, he has delivered my next custom project. My husband had a pair to 1976 Aztec speakers that had terrific sound quality, however the boxes that housed the speakers were made of chipboard and were seriously deteriorating. I had tried for about 10 years to find a cabinet-maker who would take on the project, without success, until I showed the job to Don. He took the speakers away and had the team craft the new boxes to the exact same dimensions from lovely Tasmanian oak to match the media unit in the family room, taking one of the drawers of the unit with him so that the colour match with the unit was precise, and it is perfect. Then, he carefully removed the 3 speakers from each box and re-positioned them in the new Tassie oak boxes. They look wonderful and sound as good as ever. This was a tricky job and took time but both my husband and I are immensely satisfied with the result, which we have wanted for so long. Thank you, Habitat Furniture! We will keep you on speed dial because we know you can do wonders and provide us with style, quality and substance that can't be found anywhere else.

I ordered 3 x 2 drawer Tasmanian oak filing cabinets & a 4 drawer filing cabinet for my studio. They are beautiful & well made pieces of furniture & I'm utterly delighted with them. I was also very impressed with how quickly I received them, especially as I placed the order just before Easter. I ordered another 4 drawer filing cabinet & was amazed when it was able to be delivered just a week later! Dana & Don provided fantastic service & took so much care to match the colour of the stain precisely to all my other pieces. The prices are excellent - pieces of similar quality & style by other vendors are often several hundred dollars more.

We shopped around for months. No one seemed to be interested and the two qoutes we received were $2300 and $2800. A friend then mentioned habitat who quoted us $1200 for our entertainment unit. Dana and Don both very helpful and made and delivered as agreed. I'll be back and happy to recommend

It arrive today and I’m really impressed.Staff were fantastic especially a lady called Dana . I wasn’t sure if the book case colour would match my existing furniture. Dana asked me to send her a picture of my furniture then emailed me various things for me to consider. The book case looks amazing amoungst my old stuff so much so I’ll be buying some other things Dana suggested.

What I like about this place is the great service, great prices and lots of choice. They can order things for you and make to measure. I love my TV unit that they made according to my sizes. Delivery was within the approximate timeframe given to me too, and delivery service was excellent too. Shops like this are hard to find.
